This Raw Cacao is sourced directly from the farmers in Guatemala. It is with the upmost respect and humility that the Kakaochi Family supports these Wisdom Keepers in conserving their Ancient Knowledge, Culture, Medicine and Cultivation Methods.
This Medicine is Fair Trade and 100% organic, It’s shipped directly to Austria after the drying and fermentation process. In Austria it is gently ground and let to rest to preserve all the aroma and qualities. During the entire process we try to use as little resources as possible and all packaging made from 100% ecological material.

Flavors of orange peel, toasted almond, biscuits, caramel and red fruits. On a mountain top with a view of the vast jungle hills of the Cahabón region is the small farmers’ association, which has invested heavily in producing cocoa as a livelihood and an economic income for the community and future generations. The association with Q’eqchi roots in Santa Maria Cahabón grows cocoa, cardamom, cinnamon and chili peppers. The cocoa is further processed in cascading wooden fermentation boxes and a combination of greenhouse dryers, raised bamboo decks and drying terraces and has also been certified organic since 2019. We are very inspired by this association’s loving efforts to grow.
